GSU Show Choir: Adrenaline

When an individual lives their lives according to the events that occurred within them, you can only assume so much. However, what can you know about what they've been through if you never bothered to care? Show them your love and compassion for who they are and what they do. Give them some of your strength because you are one--not two. Adrenaline is not 33 people; Adrenaline is one entity of love, hard work, dedication, and spirited individuals who enjoy what they do. They are self-governed, they are strong, they are the epitome of what family is truly about. How can so many people with so many different backgrounds be a family? If you do not understand, then it is quite possible you don't deserve to be apart of the love they share.

I've walked around campus and heard some things said about show choir. I've heard things said about people in show choir. I do not relay the ignorance and oblivion of those who know not the lives they have lived and continue to do so. What do they have to gain from negativity? Do they grow based upon confrontations that are below them? From the previous statements you may ask: Are they a conceited group of performers? First off, my naive little urchins, they are not a 'group,' as you so quaintly put it. I repeat, they are a family. No, they are not conceited, you possibly just are unable to comprehend the integrity and professionalism that we, as an organization uphold. Do not misunderstand me, no other organization is better than we are, nor are we better than them; however, our values possibly differ greatly.

I have a friend who says, whenever I do or say something "gay," "That is so show choir" or "That is too show choir." I've tolerated it for a while, but trust me after today: February 28, 2009, he will never speak those words ever again. To that friend, how could you say something that makes such a wonderful group of people that you know nothing appear as though being like them, and apart of who they are, a bad thing? That, sir, is inexcusable, and if you wish to stay friends you will never do such a thing ever again out of respect for Adrenaline and for me.

Adrenaline has become more than just a family. Th--we became something greater, something more meaningful. We heard each others' stories. Tears were shed; hugs were given as well as hearts. How can we be more than family? Honestly? You would have to be us to find out. If you can't be apart of who we are and what we do? Then I pity you with a smile--because your life may have its own meaning without Adrenaline Show Choir; it may have been another "thing" you did during your life, but for us? It is that bullion pathway into happiness, it is that beacon of hope that lets us know that when together, we are untouchable by you, and anyone else who may attempt to rip us down or make us feel bad about our lives, our craft, and our bond.
